En Egypte, la compagnie pétrolière française TotalEnergies a annoncé, vendredi 29 juillet, qu’elle a paraphé un contrat d’une valeur de 200 millions de dollars pour céder à la société pétrolière émiratie ADNOC, 50 % des intérêts qu’elle détient dans le segment aval égyptien.
« TotalEnergies est ravie d’unir ses forces à celles d’ADNOC Distribution en Égypte. La vaste expérience d’un distributeur de carburants expérimenté dans la région du Conseil de coopération du Golfe apportera une valeur ajoutée significative à notre filiale en Égypte », a déclaré Thierry Pflimlin, directeur général Marketing & Services de TotalEnergies.
Dans le cadre de ce deal, ADNOC collaborera avec TotalEnergies à la distribution de produits pétroliers dans le pays. Une entente qui couvre, d’une part, un ensemble d’actifs comprenant au total 240 stations-service.
D’autre part, l’accord intègre plusieurs opérations de commercialisation en gros de produits pétroliers. Des combustibles comprenant du carburant pour automobile, de carburant destiné au secteur de l’aéronautique et des lubrifiants.
D’après Bader Saeed Al Lamki, PDG d’ADNOC Distribution, la transaction est conforme à la stratégie d’expansion de la firme émiratie qui ambitionne de jouer un rôle plus important dans la distribution de produits pétroliers dans la région MENA.
La finalisation de la transaction est annoncée pour le premier semestre 2023, une fois les approbations légales obtenues.
