Pour s’imprégner de la réalisation de ce grand projet, l’ambassadeur de France de la Cote d’Ivoire, Jean Christophe Belliard a récemment effectué une visite sur le site.
Pour les autorités municipales, la matérialisation de ce projet d’envergure, dont les travaux vont débuter incessamment est une réponse à la carence d’infrastructures de commerce mais aussi à l’exercice des activités économiques dans un cadre saint et informel dans la commune.
Issoufou Coulibaly, le représentant du maire Gilbert Kafana Koné explique déclare que : « le marché de gros et de détail de Yopougon va générer des milliers d’emplois pour les jeunes et les femmes.
Et ainsi contribuer à la baisse du chômage dans la plus grande commune de Cote d’Ivoire ». Il convient de noter que la réalisation du marché de gros et de détail de Yopougon est un vieux projet de la municipalité qui a connu mainte fois des renvois.
