Ce 26 septembre, le Port Autonome de Kribi (PAK) et Kribi Conteneurs Terminal (KCT) ont paraphé un avenant à la convention de concession du terminal à conteneurs du Port en eaux profondes de Kribi.
Un entente a bouclé le financement de la phase 2 matérialisant de nouvelles installations portuaires sur le complexe industrialo-portuaire du port de Kribi.
Les capacités du port camerounais vont ainsi tripler à compter de 2024. Le Port autonome de Kribi et Kribi conteneurs terminal (KCT) ont signé un accord le 26 septembre pour définir les modalités de financement de la phase 2 du projet du complexe industrialo-portuaire camerounais.
Vers juin 2024, un nouveau quai de 715 m et un terre-plein de 30 hectares pourront ainsi voir le jour et 20 nouveaux portiques (5 de quai et 15 de parc) seront livrés. Les capacités du terminal en eaux profondes tripleront, jusqu’à atteindre le million de conteneurs manutentionnés (EVP).
Un investissement stratégique
Olivier De Noray, président du conseil d’administration de KCT et directeur général Ports et Terminaux de Bolloré Ports précise que « la signature de cet avenant confirme le besoin commun que l’autorité portuaire et les actionnaires du Terminal à conteneurs portent pour l’essor du complexe industrialo-portuaire de Kribi, investissement stratégique des autorités du Cameroun ».
Avec l’augmentation continue des volumes enregistrés cette année, le terminal de Kribi s’affirme comme la principale porte d’entrée des marchandises pour le Cameroun et la sous-région. Les investissements de la phase 2 vont donc permettre de consolider cette dynamique au profit des acteurs économiques locaux.”
Kribi Logistics Hub, base logistique de 24 000 m² implantée non loin du KCT inauguré en juin 2022 profite directement de l’impact de ces nouvelles installations en 2024. KCT est le concessionnaire du terminal à conteneurs du port en eaux profondes de Kribi. Il est cnstitué d’un groupement d’actionnaires camerounais, de Bolloré Ports, CMA CGM, CHEC.
