Lancée en 2013 en République du Bénin, First Move Logistics (FML) est une société leader dans le domaine des transports et de la logistique en Afrique de l’Ouest. Présente déjà dans 4 pays, Bénin, Togo, et Nigeria avec des bureaux dédiés, elle continue d’étendre son réseau logistique en intégrant récemment Africa Logistics Network (ALN), le plus grand réseau de transitaires au monde, spécialiste de l’Afrique.
Le secteur de la logistique a enregistré un progrès remarquable ces dernières années dans le continent africain grâce à la mise en œuvre de projets majeurs en termes d’infrastructures de transport. En effet, presque partout en Afrique les ports, les routes ou les rails se transforment comme à l’image du futur port minéralier de Bargny-Sendou et les récents investissements effectués pour la modernisation des ports d’Abidjan ou de Lomé. Un chiffre suffit à illustrer le dynamisme de la logistique sur le continent : selon l’Organisation de Coopération et de Développement économiques (OCDE), les exportations africaines ont bondi de 42 % sur un an en 2021, soit plus du double des performances asiatique et américaine.
Ainsi, cette avancée significative du secteur de la logistique en Afrique s’accompagne d’un développement et d’une multiplication de sociétés logistiques 100% locales. Ces dernières grandissent rapidement en se mettant au même niveau que les multinationales et se voient confier de plus en plus de gros contrats logistiques par leurs gouvernements grâce au développement du contenu local. C’est dans ce sens que First Move Logistics a été désigné comme sous-traitant de DHL Global Forwarding en République du Bénin et a fourni d’excellents résultats. Ce qui lui a permis d’organiser le transport de 203.000 doses de vaccin en mars 2021 en pleine pandémie de Covid-19 pour le compte de l’État béninois.
First Move Logistics offre une gamme complète de services : NVOCC, LCL/FCL, fret aérien et maritime, services d’affrètement aérien, entreposage, services IOR, manutention de navires, transport transfrontalier, services de dédouanement et de relocalisation. FML gère également les cargaisons RORO et hors gabarit pour les projets et les matériaux lourds pour les grandes entreprises industrielles. Elle est en mesure de suivre chaque envoi du début à la fin et d’organiser à l’avance un dédouanement rapide et précis, garantissant ainsi des services dans les délais impartis.
Présent dans 4 pays en Afrique de l’Ouest avec des bureaux dédiés, FML est composé d’une équipe jeune, bilingue et dirigé par 3 femmes : Ifeyinwa EZENWATA, Directrice Générale du Nigeria ; Veronique EZENWATA, Directrice Générale du Bénin / Niger et Chiwendu EZENWATA, Directrice Générale du Togo.
